How Can I See Whether My Products Are Tracked?

Inventory tracking means Shopify keeps track of how many units of a product you have in stock. It can be turned on or off when creating or editing a product in the Inventory section.


This article explains how to identify which of your products have inventory tracking enabled in Shopify with DataChamp and filter it to export only the products you need.


  1. Create a Report
  • Create a new report.
  • Go to the "Locations" tab and select the "Basic Report".


  1. Add the Tracking Column
  • Add the column "Inventory Levels: Product Tracked" to your report.


  1. Preview the Report
  • Click preview to view your report.
  • In the Product tracked column, you will see true or false, which shows whether inventory tracking is enabled for each product.

  1. Filter by Tracked Status
  • Add a new filter and select the field Product Tracked.


If you only want to export:

  • Tracked Products → Add the filter Product Tracked = Yes
  • Not Tracked Products → Add the filter Product Tracked = No


Please note: Inventory tracking is only applicable to physical products. Since services cannot be stocked, they are excluded from this feature.
