What Permissions Does DataChamp Use for Google Drive?

Permissions

When you connect DataChamp to your Google Drive, we request access with “File” Permission. This ensures that DataChamp only interacts with the files and folders it creates, keeping your data private and secure. Here’s what this means:

Restricted Access to DataChamp’s Folder
DataChamp creates its own folder in your Google Drive, and its access is limited to this folder and the files created by DataChamp.

No Access to Manually Created Files or Folders
DataChamp cannot see, modify, or write to files or folders that you create manually in Google Drive.

No Data Overwriting
There is no option for DataChamp to write data into self-created files or folders. This ensures that your existing files remain untouched and fully under your control.

Purpose of Access

The permission allows DataChamp to:

Export data to Google Sheets within the designated DataChamp folder.
Manage files created by DataChamp for seamless storage and organization.

By using “File” Permission, we ensure that your privacy is respected, and DataChamp only interacts with the files it creates, providing a secure integration with Google Drive.
