# Mappings

In this tutorial, we'll show you how to use Mappings in DataChamp and how to calculate values.

#### ${color}[#1a63ba](Sections)
With mappings you can customize the output of any column.

There are three sections:

${color}[#f44823](**3.**) to

Use this section in the same way as "filters". Set up the condition when the mapping should be used.

#### ${color}[#1a63ba](The "set section")
Specify which column should be set by the mapping. You can also add a custom column under the "Columns" tab to create additional columns for mapping purposes.

#### ${color}[#1a63ba](The "to section")
This is where you configure the content. For fixed value, simple write the content into the "to sections".
